H Interior Design is a boutique studio specialising in meticulously detailed residential projects and thoughtfully curated furnished interiors. We are passionate about conceptual design, considered space planning and creating comprehensive documentation packages, including bespoke joinery solutions tailored to each client and their unique way of living.
Every element is carefully considered from finishes and materials to lighting, furniture and styling. We take pride in managing every detail, right down to the final button on a custom-designed scatter cushion. At the heart of our practice is a deep appreciation for creativity and a genuine love for all things interiors.
THE STORY BEHIND THE h
The H is both personal and rooted in heritage. It stands for Homer’s Hellen. A connection between my father, Homer, and my own name, Hellen.
Homer, the ancient Greek poet and storyteller, is one of the most enduring figures in literary history. His stories were shaped through people, places, journeys and emotion, and passed down through generations.
This idea of storytelling is at the heart of H Interior Design.
Just as Homer created stories through words, we create them through space using architecture, materials, colour, texture, light and carefully considered objects to create interiors that feel personal, layered and enduring.
H is more than an initial. It represents heritage, storytelling and a connection between the past and the present, expressed through the language of interiors.
OUR APPROACH
Our approach is thoughtful, collaborative and highly detailed. We take the time to understand each client's lifestyle, aspirations and the way they want their home to feel, before translating these into a cohesive design concept.
From the initial idea through to completion, every decision forms part of a considered design journey. We believe the most successful interiors are not simply beautiful, but spaces that feel instinctive to live in, timeless, warm and reflective of the people who call them home.
Before founding H Interior Design, Hellen worked within award-winning firms across a range of commercial and residential projects as a Senior Interior Designer and Decorator. Her experience spans bespoke luxury homes through to multi-residential developments, giving her a broad understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of design.
Today, Hellen remains actively involved in every stage of each project, working closely with clients and, where required, in collaboration with architects and other consultants to bring thoughtful, highly resolved spaces to life.
From concept to completion, every detail has a purpose. Every home has a story.
